The complete app guide
How to play
The quickest start is simple: open a ready-made shop, tap what the customer wants and take their payment. When you want the rest, follow the counter from left to right below.
1. Open a shop 🏪
Tap Build a new shop on Home. Choose a ready-made shop with its shelves already stocked, or choose Make my own and start from an empty counter. Ready-made choices include shops, cafés, restaurants, a night market and the North Pole Market.
Every new shop gets its own name before it opens. Use the pencil on its Home card later to rename it or change its picture. If you already have shops, the same full ready-made catalogue is still available when you build another one.
2. Fill the shelves ✏️
At the register, open Shop tools → My items. Add things to sell, choose a picture and colour, and set the price. Food venues can also add meal times, menu sections, descriptions and choices such as size or flavour.
Put an item on sale from the same editor. The lower sale price appears at the till and on its printed price tag or menu.
3. Serve a customer 🛎️
Tap products to add them to the order. On a phone, tap the receipt bar at the bottom to see the full basket. Tap an order line to change its quantity, pick a product option, write a short note or remove it.
When the order is ready, tap Pay. Choose Cashor Card. For cash, tap the notes and coins the customer hands over. The till waits if it is not enough, then shows exactly which pieces make the change. For card, scan one of the app's printed pretend bank cards.
4. Print it and scan it 🖨️
Open Printables from Home, or Shop tools → Printat the register. Choose the shop first if you have several, because its name, products and prices personalise the paper.
The free set includes pretend money, bank cards, barcode stickers and fold-up product packets. The Whole Shop adds the rest: price tags, menus, table signs, sale and open signs, bags, a wallet, lists, loyalty cards, receipts, personalised Awards and more. Locked pages can be previewed before purchase.
Put a printed barcode sticker on a toy or packet, tap Scan a codeand hold it in the camera view. It rings up immediately. No photo is taken or saved. A printer is optional; the whole till works without one.
5. Follow the Awards 🏆
Open Awards from Home or Shop tools. There are 37 goals covering customers, takings, change, shelves, scanning, tables and returning to play. Each visible Award states the exact target and shows progress. Money goals adjust to the selected currency.
Earning one never interrupts checkout. It is saved quietly and a small grouped notice appears after leaving the register. Tap an earned Award to add the winner's name and a note, preview the finished certificate, and print it with The Whole Shop.
6. Spend the pretend takings 🌟
Every completed sale adds to that shop's bank. Open Shop tools → Upgrades to spend those pretend earnings on additions such as a shop puppy, new picture packs, a golden shopfront or Disco Night. Some also add a themed page to Printables.
An upgrade belongs to the shop that bought it. Tap an owned upgrade to pause it, then tap again to turn it back on. Pausing never removes the purchase.
7. Run tables 🍽️
With The Whole Shop, cafés and restaurants gain Shop tools → Tables. Add tables, name the guests and keep a separate order waiting at each one while another customer is served. At checkout, choose a table or Take away.
Table signs and personalised name cards can be previewed and printed from the table area. They are part of The Whole Shop.
8. Team up with a second device 📱
On the register device, open Shop tools → Team up to show a pairing code. On the second phone or tablet, tap Use as a second checkout scanner on Home and scan that code.
Keep both devices on the same Wi-Fi. The second device can scan product stickers and pretend bank cards while the order stays on the main register. The devices talk directly to each other; the play data is not sent to us.
9. Settings and backups ⚙️
Settings contains all 16 currencies and The Whole Shop controls. Changing currency changes the money pieces and how amounts are shown; it does not convert the numbers already stored in existing shops.
The Grown-ups card in Settings can save the whole game to a backup file or bring a saved file back. Restoring replaces the shops currently on that device, but keeps Awards already earned there. Purchase restore and backup controls sit behind the grown-up check.
